Ophthalmologists can use Healio AI to receive clinical responses. Healio AI and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, or ASCRS, announced a partnership to optimize available educational resources for ophthalmologists, according to a press release. The collaboration adds the clinical educational content from the 2026 ASCRCS Annual Meeting \u2014 which offered over 300 hours of educational opportunities \u2014 to Healio AI\u2019s expanding knowledge base. According to the society\u2019s website, this year\u2019s meeting featured over 650 studies from 53 sessions.
\u201cThe partnership between Healio AI and ASCRS is a natural fit, uniting two organizations dedicated to advancing ophthalmic education,\u201d Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, Chief AI Officer at Healio, told Healio. \u201cBoth parties share a commitment to providing health care professionals with trusted, up-to-date clinical knowledge.\u201d ASCRS is a medical society dedicated to enhancing education, advocacy and philanthropy in the field of ophthalmology while promoting the latest research and scholarship. The partnership with Healio AI adds essential ophthalmology content to the generative AI tool\u2019s growing database of verified medical resources, providing ophthalmologists access to answers to their clinical questions at the point of care. \u201cOphthalmologists have been using Healio AI between cases \u2014 treating it like a thoughtful colleague they consult within the office \u2014 or as an adjunct to precharting before a busy caseload,\u201d Stiglich said. \u201cTogether, the partnership ensures practitioners have access to insights and information they need to stay at the forefront of patient care,\u201d she added.
