These include: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"ee-ul\">\n<li>    Blood tests, including tests that check liver function and enzymes    <\/li>\n<li>    Blood tests that check for viral infections, such as hepatitis    <\/li>\n<li>    Ultrasound or other imaging tests    <\/li>\n<li>    Liver biopsy    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even if you\u2019ve had blood tests to check your liver, your clinician may want to do more testing to look for symptoms like liver scarring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do you know which doctor to see? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Start with your primary care provider.
