\n\tMegan Thee Stallion is used to performing under pressure, but a recent stint on Broadway pushed the rapper\u2019s body past its breaking point.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a new interview with Marie Claire<\/em><\/a>, the 31-year-old rapper opened up about a health scare that led to her sudden exit from Moulin Rouge! The Musical<\/em> this past spring. After just one week in the show, she was rushed to the hospital on March 31.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t think I was aware of how much I was going to be putting my body through,\u201d she told the publication.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tA Frightening Hospitalization\t<\/h2>\n

\n\tMegan admitted she arrived at the theater feeling \u201ca little bit mentally not okay<\/a>\u201d every single day. Despite struggling with dehydration and a poor diet, she refused to miss a performance because she \u201cdidn\u2019t want to let anyone down.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wasn\u2019t getting any oxygen to my brain, so my hands had froze,\u201d she said. \u201cI was trying to tell everybody that I don\u2019t think I\u2019m okay\u2026 I thought I was having a stroke.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough it took some convincing, her team finally got her to a hospital where doctors confirmed she was not only exhausted, but experiencing a panic attack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tPrioritizing Her Health\t<\/h2>\n

\n\tMegan returned to the stage just two days later, but ultimately ended her run on May 1 \u2014 two weeks earlier than her scheduled eight-week contract.<\/p>\n

\n\tNow, the \u201cHISS\u201d performer says she\u2019s \u201ctrying to stay more hydrated and be more calm,\u201d as she gets back to releasing new music, like her recent Tina Tuesday Freestyle<\/em><\/a> track.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough,\u201d Megan said in an Instagram post<\/a>. \u201cIt honestly scared me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
