According to the CDC, there have been at least 1,947 cyclosporiasis cases and 98 hospitalizations in the outbreak since May 1. Federal health officials have traced the multistate outbreak to iceberg lettuce sourced by Taylor Farms in Mexico.
The case count is likely higher. Michigan alone has reported over 11,000 cases as of July 30, including nearly 200 hospitalizations.
