Brooklyn Beckham isn’t letting anyone talk down to his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Last week, the 27-year-old posted a casual Instagram Reel showing himself making a cottage pie, and social media users ran to the comments section to critique Nicola’s appearance — even though she wasn’t in the video herself. One user wrote, “Do you comment on everyone who is concerned about your wife and how sickly she looks? She puts herself out there. Feed her.”

Brooklyn addressed the troll directly in the comments.

“Don’t ever talk about my wife,” Brooklyn wrote. “She’s absolutely beautiful, and you should never comment on a woman’s body. It’s disgraceful.”

The Reason Behind Her Weight Loss

Critics jumping to conclusions on social media were missing the full context behind Nicola’s appearance.

Earlier this year, a source told People that the 31-year-old actress underwent a physical change for her role in the upcoming movie Prima, in which she plays a classical dancer named Margo.

“She’s undergone a physical transformation and intense workout regimen for her role in Prima, where she portrays a prima ballerina,” the insider told People

Her dedication behind the camera and on set is already earning industry recognition. On September 5, Nicola will receive the Rising Star Award at the 25th Kinéo Awards in Venice, Italy, honoring her work as an actress, writer, and director.

Protecting Their Peace

Brooklyn’s quick defense of his wife is just the latest example of the couple standing up for themselves.

Following an ongoing public rift with Brooklyn’s famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, the couple decided to stop celebrating their wedding anniversary because of the “bad memories” tied to that day. Instead, a source confirmed to People that they are focusing on their vow renewal to celebrate “the love and commitment they’ve built together over the years, and creating a memory that will stay with them forever.”

Brooklyn shared a similar message on Instagram after their recent vow renewal.

“Happy anniversary, Nicola. I can’t tell you how much I love you x. You are my best friend, and I love you more than life itself xx. I am so lucky to be able to call you my wife xx. You are my absolute princess, and I promise to always protect you xx.”
