Brandi Glanville is opening up about the reality of her ongoing health crisis, and her latest update is tough to hear.

On a recent episode of her Unfiltered podcast, the 53-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum revealed she has exploratory surgery scheduled in the coming weeks. Doctors plan to look inside her gums, sinuses, and eustachian tubes (which connect your middle ears to the back of your throat), with plans to insert a balloon to help clear out the area so her face can finally drain properly.

‘Something Made a Cove for Itself’

Glanville shared that after telling a doctor her neck didn’t feel like part of her body anymore, they found an abnormal “cove” had formed in her neck tissue.

Watching herself on the reality show Special Forces made her realize how much the swelling had changed her face. “I’m like, ‘Holy f-k. Like, something is in my face eating it,’” she recalled thinking. “I know they’re going to find that out when they go in there.”

She also said she heard and felt a physical rattling sound near her jawline. While doctors have identified a ball of fungus, Glanville suspects a worm or parasite may be involved. She previously shared ultrasound results with followers showing a radiologist and technician spotting “something alive” moving under her skin.

“I’m afraid for my health. Like, I don’t know what’s making me sick,” Glanville said

A Long, Exhausting Journey

Getting answers hasn’t been easy or cheap. It took 21 doctors and $200,000 to figure out what was going on, and her current routine requires 18 hours of daily IV infusions. Even with health insurance, her out-of-pocket costs run between $3,300 and $6,000 every month.

Despite four exhausting years of dealing with this, Glanville is holding onto hope for the upcoming procedure. As she told her podcast co-host, she’s just “excited to, like, just get my life back.”
