HealthyWomen welcomes the Administration’s recent announcement of an Executive Order that would establish a new women’s health division within the National Institutes of Health, create a White House Women’s Health Task Force and coordinate a comprehensive approach to women’s health across all stages of life.

Meaningfully advancing women’s health will take sustained commitment and collaboration across government, the healthcare community and the organizations that serve women. This order is an important step in mobilizing federal agencies around women’s health, and it builds on longstanding bipartisan efforts.

As the White House Women’s Health Task Force convenes, we look forward to it translating the Order’s priorities into meaningful action, fostering collaboration, and identifying opportunities to strengthen research, innovation, education and access to care. For nearly 40 years, HealthyWomen has been a trusted voice in advancing women’s health, and we stand ready to work with the Administration to further our shared priority to improving women’s health across the lifespan.
