October 18, 2026, is World Menopause Day.

Ah, menopause.

We spent decades knowing nothing about you and now you’re everywhere. Like our own little Timothée Chalamet.

Don’t get us wrong — the more talk about menopause, the better. For too long, women have had to white-knuckle it through brain fog, mood swings and furnaces for bodies without saying a word.

Now, the conversation surrounding menopause is louder than ever and proof we have the ability to change the narrative and the way we approach this completely natural time in life that all women go through.

In fact, about 1.3 million people in the U.S. will reach menopause this year alone. But considering less than half of women ages 50 to 64 haven’t been told by their clinician what to expect during menopause, it’s easy to see why misinformation still exists.

Here, we’re debunking some common myths about menopause and giving you the facts all people who menstruate need to know.
